iFixYouri is also very excited to our involvement with and announce the launch of RE:PURPOSE! This program will collect used and broken electronics in order to reduce hazardous e-waste going into our landfills. What’s even better, those devices will be refurbished, repurposed, and upcycled to kids in need in our community.
THE ASK: Come donate your spare devices (in any condition) this Saturday at Lake Eola from 10am to 6pm and next Wednesday 4/24 from 11am to 1pm at Orlando City Hall.
A recent study showed that over 35% of kids enrolled in public schools did not have a device or internet connection at home. Our goal is to help eliminate that. Our plan to redistribute 5000 refurbished devices back into the local community by the end of the year.
On both Friday and Saturday technicians will be on hand to collect used or broken smartphones, cell phones, laptops, desktops, tablets, charging blocks, and charging cables.
Please share this program and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday or next Wednesday!
Together we’re building the #CommunityofTomorrow. This program sponsored by the Central Florida Tech Alliance, and in partnership with the City of Orlando, T-Mobile, iFixYouri, and The US Chamber of Commerce
