White iPad 2 Glass – The hunt for the great white iPad

We were able to get our hands on some white iPad 2 Glass, which we then shared with our friends at 9to5mac. We can tell you how pretty it would look on a nice iPad. Early mock-ups that were seen showed vector drawings of white iPad 2’s. These are not mock-ups, nor are they fake in any way. See for yourself. Glass, cable, digitizer, front, and back. March 2nd will prove to be an exciting day for iPad enthusiasts and as the hype of the Motorola Xoom still is in the air, this will for sure silence the crowd and draw their attention elsewhere, and that being to the iPad. Perhaps in the near future we’ll be offering white iPad conversion for your iPad screen repair.

Here’s a couple pictures for you to drool at, look at, do whatever with. Have a question or comment? Let us know your thoughts!

Verizon iPhone 4 Water Damage repair – All phones are drawn to water

We’re always told to expect the unexpected. Well, we went against the grain with that one. We expect the expected. Somehow, people’s phones and water always seem to mix. New phones, old phone, red phones, and white phones. It’s almost as if phones and water are meant to be together. The thing the really sucks is that electronics and water don’t mix.

With the new outbreak(yes….outbreak), of Verizon iPhone 4’s on the market, we know there will be an outbreak of Verizon iPhone 4 repair following closely behind. We’re locked, stocked, and loaded as the first round of the verizon iPhones are hitting our loading docks and in need of some desperate repair.

This morning we had a water damaged Verizon iPhone 4 graciously enter our doors, tripped sensors and all. The very distraught customer asked us to take particularly good care of their phone when she ordered our Verizon iPhone 4 Water Damage repair, while we assured her that it is in good hands, and we’ll treat it as if it was our own.

Exposing the back was a tangled web of tiny screws and obstacles that Apple undoubtedly made more difficult than needed to prevent people that want to tamper with the insides of their phones. I’ll agree with Apple and them standing behind the idea that if you’re not sure what you’re doing, don’t mess with it. Pentalobular screws, some more tiny screws, and some more tiny screws that sit inside other tiny screws.

We’re going to advise you, this is not something you’re going to want to undertake yourself. You will get lost, you will get mixed up. We took a bit of time to put together strategic method for those in need of DIY iPhone repair. We’ll be following up with that here shortly.

We wish all iPhones were created equal, but fortunately, our technologically advanced society and the nature of competition(even within a company), drives new generations to be quicker, faster, and stronger(sometimes). iPhone 2g < iPhone 3G < iPhone 3Gs < iPhone 4 <= Verizon iPhone 4.

Should you be in need of fixing you Verizon iPhone 4, please, don’t attempt to do-it-yourself. If you insist, we’d be happy to give you some tips on how to not loose your screws and make sure everything goes back together the way it was originally.

iPad 2 LCD Screen – This just in!

iPad 2 LCD Screen

So we were able to buy an iPad 2 LCD. Great news! It’s a bit thinner, slimmer. As repair nuts, this makes us drool a little bit when we see something like this get added to our iPad 2 repair service.  It appears that the LCD will be the same resolution as iPad 1. Glossy screen, seems to be a check as well. Honestly, we were hoping to be blown away, but we’re not…2nd gens of anything always seem to bring on sooooo much hype as they are to blow out of the water something that sold 17 million units in its’ debut! Love it or hate it, the iPad 2 is on its’ way and it’s coming soon. We’re expecting the best, hoping for better, but trying not to get disappointed. Crowds chant, rant, and rave about the almighty retina, but it’s not likely, not in this go around. What’s the deal apple? Can’t you come out with the one device that does everything already? Cameras, bells, whistles, back massager, and cooks you dinner.

The cable connector is slightly different. This makes us think that they’re going the similar route that they did with the iPhone 3G to the 3Gs, where the LCD’s were pretty much the same, but the connectors were different.

With the new Verizon iPhone right around the corner, and the iPad 2 idling sitting in the background for a definite date, which is projected to be around April 2nd-ish.

The LCD is the same size, but 1mm thinner. We’re guessing it’ll be assembly very similarly to the original ipad. It’ll definitely be interesting to see what the glass will reveal in terms of size.

No retina this time around. Our bets are on the landscape docking, front and rear camera, and the rest basically the same, but thinner. Apple never wants a full blown out release. If you’ve followed them in the past, it’s usually one feature at a time. This iPad 2, well, maybe  they’ll throw 2 at you this time.

Verizon iPhone 4 repair – Is the game going to change with this next iDevice?

We’ve been getting a lot of inquires about the new iPhone 4, specifically if the parts are going to be different. Our sources have been telling us that they will be similar in size and weight. This is somewhat of a relief. We’re hoping that the glass stays the same as to not make the iPhone 4 repair services any more expensive. Design for manufacturability apple. I know you guys practice it there. It’s not a new concept. That’s all they’re telling us. We do have some prototype parts coming, very soon, so we shall see. I do have a feeling that they will be the same, as they’d have to start pumping out a whole bunch of new parts, that are one off from the iPhone 4 we currently have? Maybe they’ll just make the connector a bit different like 3G to the 3Gs glass

Count down is on. February 10th, we shall see.

iPad 2 Specs – Real or fake?

So when’s it going to hit? The launch of the Verizon iPhone CDMA is right around the corner. Sprint is announcing something fishy on Feb 7th, and that leaves people clawing and clamoring at the bits to see what ELSE Apple has in store. Unfortunately Steve took a medical leave, so we’re going to be left with hearing COO Cook do the presentation.

I deal with suppliers on a daily/nightly basis. We use the top, most reliable ones in the industry, and from what they say, it’s still all speculation. Parts that are starting to roll out, we’ll see how legit and accurate they are. Time will tell, that’s for sure. As we saw with a drop test, well, the parts we tested, definitely matched the strength of the actual phone that we did a drop test with.

.3 MP Front Camera

5 MP Rear Facing Camera

1920×1280 Resolution(uhhhhh)

White Glass(out goes the credibility). I HOPE we’re wrong, but what it seems like is that right now you can only have a white iphone, if you get a white iPhone conversion done.

9.7 inch screen

As soon as the iPad 2 parts really hit the market, we’ll know for sure. Dual dock, USB, 1 audio jack, seems on par. Facetime, that seems legit as does the 3 axis gyroscope. We’ll see. Until we have it physically in our hands, it’s really all speculation. We’ll keep you posted. Watch out for shady pics, sketchy chinese supplier sites, and people promising you the world, when the world is still not quite at arms reach. And the world being the elusive ipad 2 and its’ mysterious parts. 🙂
